For 50 years, the Victory Board has been fighting against cancer, and the fight continues in our community and country every day. In 1969, Mrs. James B. Gilbert, Sr. hosted the first benefit for the American Cancer Society in Glynn County. This event has grown into an annual gala that has raised over two million dollars since its beginning.
To celebrate our 50th anniversary, the Victory Board will host A Golden Gala, an intimate evening that will include silent and live auctions, seated dinner, live music and dancing. Please join us as we honor those who have served our organization and worked tirelessly to fulfill the mission to eliminate cancer.
For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
